With more than 69,000 acres the Forest Preserve District of Cook County is the most extensive forest preserve district in the United States. It presents a wildlife habitat that can provide environmental education opportunities as well as outdoor recreation activities. With an estimated 40 million visits each year the Forest Preserve District of Cook County offers something different to everyone:
